Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be one of the two coaches, along with Rashad Evans, on Season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter Reality Show.

Thank God.

Rampage is the most entertaining, charismatic athlete in mixed martial arts.
Anyone who doubts this claim needs to check out Never Surrender – not to be confused with the similarly themed 1985 Karate film, No Retreat, No Surrender, co-starring a then unknown Jean Claude Van Damme as an Eastern European leg-breaker, or Never Back Down (2008), a reboot of the “Daniel meets Miagi” motif, complete with thongs and cell-phone cameras, directed by Jeff Wadlow.

Never Surrender (2009), a straight to video release directed by action auteur Hector Echavarria, features several UFC superstars, including Georges St. Pierre and BJ Penn, but it’s Rampage who steals the show, elevating his material to Elmore Leonard-esque heights. “Why you always thinking about my ass?”

Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating, but he’s still pretty damn funny.

The Ultimate Fighter has been running for more than four years now, so it’s important to shake things up, keep it entertaining, and I believe Rampage, previously a coach on Season 7, will do just that.
